    I bought this set because it looked very interesting. Boy! I couldn’t wait
to get back home and rip the plastic cover off.

    When I took off the cover, I got a shock. Well, you see, on the side cover
of the box, there was a drawing of Maybach engines & really didn’t expect to
see the engine in the kit.

    There is only one engine but you can put together 2 types of variants,
Maybach HL230 P30(used on a Panther or King tiger) or Maybach HL230 P45(used on a Tiger I). The details are very crisp. You also get the engine
compartment. Other stuffs included in the box are a battery, drum barrel,
tool kits, ladder, tools, oil cans and others. The instruction sheet is
typical Tamiya.

    The 2 figures included are well detailed except for the head. If you’re
like me, you’ll probably saw off the head & stick in maybe a Hornet,
Warriors or Verlinden head.

    To sum up this kit, I give it a 3½ out of 5 stars. It’s detailing is good
and the idea of this kit in a diorama scene is a bonus. If you are an AFV or
diorama builder, get it while you can. The only draw back is its price, its
pretty steep at $14.90.
